| Can anyone race? Yes...Anyone over the age of 14 can race a stock car. What if I have never raced before? Aldy's goal is to decrease your learning curve by offering tips and advice and by assisting you at your first race here at the local track. Desert Thunder Raceway will assign rookie status to you for your first three races, which means that you will start behind the other cars in your class. This allows you to become familiar with your car and the track at your own pace. (Rookie status is removed once you and your fellow drivers feel you are experienced enough.) Pit hands can be hired on a nightly basis to help with minor needs until you can find your own pit hand. And, Aldy's can be present at our local track as your experienced race car mechanic.
